Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Questions Answered

Q. How long will the carpets take to dry?
A. Up to 24 hours. In most cases it will be dry in 4-6 hours. This depends on the humidity, temperature of the room, the density of the fibre and how soiled the carpet is. To speed drying use fans, open windows 2-3 inches, turn on heating (70-72 degrees).

Q. How long does the carpet cleaning process take?
A. We are able to clean approximately 200 square feet per hour. This can vary slightly depending upon the amount of soil, how much furniture needs to be moved, especially spotting procedures and set up time.

Q. How soon can i walk on the carpets?
A. You can walk on the carpets as soon as it has been cleaned! You wont damage the carpets. But try to keep pets, children & heavy traffic off the carpets during the drying process. Wear indoor shoes or slippers. Avoid walking on damp carpets in outside shoes & socks.
Wait 24 hours before removing protective tabs that our technicians have placed under the furniture to protect the carpets. Some carpets may feel slightly damp for up to 18 hours depending on the carpet & soil conditions. This is normal & will not cause any problems.
Use extreme caution when walking from a damp carpet onto any hard surface. Hard surface floors will be slippery.

Q. Do you move furniture?
A. Yes providing it is easy to move. (Most companies will charge you extra for this service). All we ask is that you move all small, breakable & valuable items that may be in the way during the cleaning process. Heavy beds, dressers & heavier pieces of furniture are normally left in place under our pricing structure.

Q. What about reoccurring spots?
A. If a spot returned a day or so after cleaning:
it may have been oily or sticky & was not completley removed, or "wickd back" due to the nature of the spot, or possibly it's not a spot, but a permanent stain.

Q. Can you fix indentations from heavy furniture?
A. No guarantee can be made on removing indentations from heavy furniture. In addition to the pile of the carpet being crushed, the backing of the carpet is indented. Heat, moisture & hand grooming with our equipment will help, but it will take time to release back to normal. Severe cases may be permanent.

Q. How often should a carpet be cleaned?
A. At a minimum, you should clean once a year. The frequency of cleaning will vary depending upon the number of occupants & level of usage.

Q. Can you remove tea, coffee, red wine etc...
A. No garentees on stain removals as some staines are permanent.

Q. Can you remove pet odours?
A. Yes we can take care of the odour.

Q. Do I need to be home during the cleaning process?
A. No. You are welcome to leave after we have been paid. Our technicians are fully insured & are employees of ALL THE BEST CLEANING, not sub-contractors.

Q.Do you clean furniture?
A. Yes we are professional upholstery cleaner
